മുനതദര്‍ സൈദിന്റെ പാദുകങ്ങള്‍

Muntadhir Syed’s Shoes
Poem by K.K. Moideen Koya

Amongst the sycophants
Who bend as low as abyss,
Oh, Muntadhir Syed,
Now, your shoes enjoy
the most reverent image!

Are those shoes made
of the skeletons of thousands
perished in the devastation
afflicted by the Yankee vulture
that invaded your motherland!

Are those shoes made
after churning out the leather
of the heart burn of hapless sisters;
Or shined with the tears
Of orphaned childhoods!

We identify that your 10-size shoes
are stronger than advanced missiles!

What you threw on the face
that grimaced to the world
with unabated greed for hunting
were the arrows on fire
of the suppressed wrath!

If your throw could crumple
the cursed face of avarice,
Megalomania and power blindness
who thought he is unconquerable,
It is the victory of your Mesopotamian genes!

We are repeatedly watching
that the supremo, who had fought
all his dirty tricks in his possession,
Is resorting to the ultimate one
and running for cover
In front of your throw!
